PHILADELPHIA. PA - The 76ers beat the Thunder 109-105.

The Sixers took down the Thunder 109-105 as Joel Embiid made an early return from injury.

The Sixers star who had been sidelined with a meniscus injury since January 30th recorded 24 points in his return to the floor for the club.

The Sixers did get off to a shaky start as they led by only a few at the end of the first quarter and then took a back seat in the second as they scored just 19 points to the Thunder’s 32.

By the end of the second half however, the Sixers began a steady comeback and eventually got back into the driver's seat in the fourth quarter and worked through the final minutes to secure a huge win.

With the win, the Sixers move to 41-35 on the season and sit in the 8th spot in the Eastern Conference. They’re now a game and a half out of the Miami Heat for the 7th seed and a full two games out of the Indiana Pacers for the 6th seed and an escape from the play-in round.

The club will now look ahead to Thursday night and a trip down to South Beach when they’ll take on the Miami Heat for a 7:30 PM EDT tipoff. You can see the game on NBCSP and listen on 94.1 WIP.
