CLEVELAND. OH - The 76ers downed the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight 123-121 as newcomer Buddy Hield continued to shine in red white and blue.
Hield recorded a team-high 24 points, tied with Kelly Oubre Jr as the Sixers fought through a difficult second half to get a much-needed win over a strong Cavs team.
The Sixers controlled the game's pace for the first few quarters, holding a steady lead through the middle of the third period.
Cleveland took a slight lead in the third quarter and would fight neck and neck to the end with the Sixers before faltering in the game's final minutes.
With the win, the Sixers move to 32-21 on the season and sit just a game behind the New York Knicks while the Orlando Magic fall three games behind the club.
The Sixers will head back home on Wednesday night for a matchup with the Miami Heat at Wells Fargo Center for a 7 pm tipoff.
