PHILADELPHIA. PA - The Flyers took down the Arizona Coyotes 5-3 at the Wells Fargo Center Monday night.

The night started rough with Arizona taking an early 1-0 lead off the stick of Matt Dumba. The two teams kept it neck and neck for the majority of the early running, aside from a few Flyer penalties which gave Arizona the momentum they needed to take the advantage.

The two teams did however draw even in the second period. Morgan Frost got things started with a penalty shot goal while Matias Maccelli got the lead right back for the Coyotes. Travis Konecny soon after would tie it up again with a goal of his own though it was followed up by an Alex Kerfoot score which once again, put Arizona in the lead headed into the third period.

As the final period got underway the Flyers hit a new gear as Jamie Drysdale quickly tied the game up at three apiece while Scott Laughton pulled off an incredible wrap-around goal to give Philly their first and final lead of the night. Owen Tippett would ice the game with an empty netter in the final minute of the period and give the Flyers their fourth consecutive win.

With the win, the Flyers moved to 29-19-6 on the season with 64 points - just one behind the Carolina Hurricanes (65). The club will look ahead to Thursday night when they head to Toronto to faceoff with the Maple Leafs for a 7:00 pm start.
