PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Phillies fell 12-5, in game four of their four game series in Arizona as the club struggled to deal with the Dbacks offense all weekend long.
Despite the way things ended, the team got off to a hot start in the top of the first when Alec Bohm doubled (43) to center field which brought across Trea Turner and Bryce Harper to make it 2-0 Phillies in a hurry.
Eugenio Suárez soon followed it up with an RBI double (21) of his own on a line drive to center field. Arizona would score two and make it a tie ballgame at two a piece.
Adrian Del Castillo singled on a ground ball to right soon after which brought two more runs across before the third inning closed out. Leaving the DBacks with a 4-2 lead.
In the bottom of the fifth it was Jake McCarthy who got in on the fun for Arizona with an RBI triple (7) which scored three to make it 8-2 Diamondbacks.
After a few pitty runs from the Phils, Corbin Carroll soon after launched his 11th home run of the season to make it 12-5 Arizona.
The club will now look ahead to Tuesday evening when they’ll take on the Miami Marlins at 6:40 PM back at Citizens Bank Park.
